Inclusitivty Statement:

As a Trauma-Informed Manual Therapist, I strive to create a safe and inclusive environement for all individuals, that is grounded in informed consent, equality, dignity, and respect.

I acknowledge the importance to my learning and understanding that many indivudals, especially those belonging to marginalized populations, have experienced disproportionate impacts of harm and stress that contribute to adverse outcomes, and which directly challenge the abilities and opportunities to thrive, heal, and access many resources. I am committed to continuing my learning and practice of the actions necessary to dismantle the systems that directly perpetuate inequities and harm.

Land Acknowledgement:

I include this land acknowledgement with respect for this land that I am on today, and for the Indigenous people who have and continue to reside here on Turtle Island.

As a first generation Canadian born to immigrants of Trinidad & Tobago and England, I acknowledge the deep history of colonization and recognize that I benefit from many of the harmful acts of settlers. I also seek to call myself and others into a deeper understanding of the 94 actions of truth, healing and reconciliation toward reparation.

The city known as Guelph is situated on treaty land, currently occupying the ancestral lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Anishinaabek and the Haudenosaunee Peoples, within the Between the Lakes Purchase (Treaty 3). This area is steeped in rich indigenous history and home to many First Nations, Inuit and Métis people today.
